Traditional celebration
Since Chinese people are so keenly observing traditions their
celebration of the teacher’s day is also unique. The Chinese students would entertain their teachers in schools through Chinese traditional dances, dramatization, and comical skits. The students would wear their traditional orange and red-colored outfits while performing dances and rendering songs in Mandarin, Fokien and other Chinese native tongues.
Love Cards
The giving of traditional personalized cards is also part of the Chinese student’s tradition being the easiest
way to appreciate teachers aside from it personalized and not so costly in terms of money considerations. Chinese educators would still appreciate the real beauty of personal touch in preparation for the personalized cards.
Field trips
There are schools in Taiwan that managed to go on field trips other beautiful places in the country as part of the educational program of the schools. Teachers go on field trip so that they can also incorporate in their discussions of certain topics what they have observed and studied during their excursion travel.
Sports activities
Schools that are run by administrators who are athletic-minded usually host sporting activities for the teachers during
teacher’s day in Taiwan. They said this is one way of involving them in athletic activities since many women teachers become fat because they no longer exercise.
