Maths-teacher:
Dear teacher,
This is the message to you I send
I learnt so much in your class to where I always went…
This is the day I show my respect to you,
don’t tell me you already knew.
I love the Σ, λ, Δ, √, μ , and p…
To prove you I’ll end the poem with the constant e

Knowledge seeds begin to grow.
Teachers are the root |

Although gifts such as flowers and chocolates are easy to buy, sometimes they can come across as impersonal. I would suggest that to these gifts, you add a note or poem – written with the teacher in mind. It doesn’t have to be grand, the text could be as simple as a “thank you for everything!” to a handwritten poem. If it is this approach which you are considering, a quick and easy way to create something both special and personal is to do the following: write the teacher’s name down the side of the paper. Next to each letter, write a reason, beginning with that letter, what it is exactly you appreciate in your teacher. A very quick example:
Mr Man is always very helpful
Reading is so much easier with his support
My grades have gone up and up since he began to teach
All the class thinks he is an inspiration
Nobody could be better!

My mind is but a vessel
To gather what is given
Seeds that have been planted
Grow and bring me strength
Knowledge is my freedom
It leads us to our path
To you I am indebted

An Inspirational Teacher
Time goes by like a whirlwind,
Memories reflect happiness,
Inspirational people,
You are one of those people,
Who is always there for me,
Watching out for me,
Protecting me from harm, T
Encouraging me to be successful in everything I do,
How can I forget?
All those fond memories I spent with you during those last 2 years,
These memories are infinity,
You were there to catch me when I fell in the library one day,
That is when I first felt the feeling of uniqueness,
“Are you okay?”
Those three words stayed in my head,
Being called sweet pet names,
A special meaning of love between a student and a teacher,
The first day of August twenty-eight two-thousand six,
I came in a wheelchair,
Looking at you for the first time made me feel strange,
A thought ran through my head : “Wow! You are so beautiful!”
I thought of myself as one of the blessed students,
Like a wish in dream that came true,
Tick-tock, time goes by spinning,
As I sat there in your colorful classroom,
Trying to absorb all your words of wisdom,
Lessons of amazing literature, grammar, and reading novels,
Writing amazing stories of life, love, and fiction,
Nine months passed by eternally,
I finally had to say farewell to all the things I had learned,
Especially to an amazing young teacher,
But, fortunately I was able to help you grade papers,
Watching over budding young 7th graders,
So little less to work, since you had Megan and Kathileen helping,
I don’t mind more than to be with you in the classroom,
Doing my own homework,
In January of two-thousand seven,
A therapist came to school and said,
The news I’ve been waiting so long to hear,
“Sue, you’re off the wheelchair!”
I stand there numbed and unable to speak,
Feelings of excitement rushed through me like water waves at the beach,
I thought of you first,
Because I knew you would be very happy,
I sprang off my wheelchair,
My legs felt a burst of energy,
The steps went faster,
There was a figure walking toward me,
That was you,
You came to see what all the chaos was about,
“What’s this?” you say
Ms. Stephens-Radle told you the good news,
You started overreacting shouting with glee,
Hugging me till I couldn’t breathe,
I didn’t know what to say,
Till then, you ask me, “Aren’t you excited you’re out of the wheelchair?”
I replied sheepishly: “Yes, but I don’t want to be out of control”
I felt so blissful that I had gone this far,
Thinking of these memories,
There are many more, but I don’t have all the space to write.
You are one amazing teacher, Mrs. McNelis!
Thinking of you carrying me on your back on that Santa Cruz trip to the bus to go home,
Because my little legs were so tired of walking,
I felt so special,
You always got my back when I needed you,
This poem goes on and on.
I hope you’re not tired of reading this,
Anyway, I just want to say,
“Don’t ever forget me!”
“Live longer please, and don’t let anybody or any student that didn’t quite grasp the concept let you down!”
Remember this please: LIFE IS SHORT!
Cherish every moment you have in your life,
Whether it’s a proudest or saddest moment,
Oh no, I’m getting too teary writing this poem,
So many things to say,
So this took three pages,
I’m going to MISS YOU!
Please don’t forget me!!!!
