Ecuador Teacher's Day - April 13th
The Ecuador Teacher’s Day celebrated every 13th of April is one of the biggest annual events in the country. This date is very significant since this is also the birth of Juan Montalvo Fiallos, recorded in the country’s history as great teacher and thinker. It may also best to remember that during the time of Fiallos, he initiated great achievements for his country especially in encouraging the Ecuadorians how important education to the people.
Like any other countries of the world the celebration of this teacher’s day in the country in South America would always be participated by thousands of schools who simultaneously conduct school activities giving appreciation to teachers in the form of dances, comical skits, song rendition, dramatization, monologues and other forms of entertainment.
Many colleges and universities in the country would also hold special parties for the teachers in classy hotels and restaurants, while those who can only afford meagre budget prefer to hold their parties in beaches. One of the best highlights of these parties is the awarding ceremonies of most outstanding educators in their respective fields. There are groups that record their contributions in the communities and these would become basis of the award.
As usual, the students in most schools would prepare their traditional love cards for the teachers. Others who can afford bought their cards in bookstores while others also prefer personalized cards. Teachers would always love to read these cards saying these would add more adrenalin to their very tiring job of imparting the knowledge everyday to the students.
There are other schools that would also prefer to conduct sports activities among teachers as a form of fitness program. They found out many teachers also become fat because they forgot to have daily exercises.
